Nature’s Perfect Pair
Pure Irish Honey &
Handcrafted Wooden Creations
Finished with Beeswax from Our Own Apiary
Every Bees & Trees wooden piece is individually handturned, carefully sanded and finished by hand to enhance the natural beauty and character of the timber. Depending on the piece, our products are finished with either a food-safe oil or a protective coating of pure beeswax from our own County Meath apiary. Our bowls are treated with a food-safe finish suitable for everyday use, while our natural beeswax finish nourishes the wood, enhances its unique grain and provides lasting protection. By combining traditional woodturning with beeswax produced by our own bees, we create handcrafted pieces that reflect the unique connection between Bees & Trees and our commitment to quality, sustainability and nature.
Choosing wood over plastic also means choosing a material that is renewable, biodegradable and made to last. Wood also has naturally antibacterial properties, making it a practical choice for every day use. Unlike plastic, wood brings warmth, texture and individuality to each piece. and it does not shed microplastics into your home or the environment. Each bowl is a natural alternative that is both practical and beautiful, making it a more sustainable choice for everyday living.
To care for your bowls, simply wash them by hand with warm water and a mild soap, than dry them immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking, dishwashers, microwaves and prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight, as these can cause the wood to dry out or warp. From time to time, you can refresh the finish with a little food-safe oil or beeswax to keep the wood nourished and looking its best.
A lovely Review:
I recently purchased two ash wood bowls (one I’m using for fruit, the other for salad ) from Bees and Trees, and I am absolutely thrilled with them. The craftsmanship is outstanding; you can really see the care and attention to detail that went into creating them. They are beautiful, and the finish is flawless. They are works of art with practical functionality, and look great on my table!!!
Brian was great to deal with and gave practical tips on how to care for the bowls to ensure that they will continue to look amazing.
I highly recommend this business and will definitely be a returning customer. I also got some amazing honey and beeswax candles so I will definitely be returning soon to get some more!!

Our Journey
What started as a hobby has grown into a passion for bringing nature’s beauty into your home. Our journey began when I discovered a fallen ash tree on our property and decided to honour its life by creating something meaningful from its wood.
Today, we maintain our own apiary and woodworking studio, where I craft each piece with the same care and attention that inspired me from the beginning. Every handcrafted piece tells a story of the tree it came from and every jar of honey captures the essence of local wildflowers
