Finished with Beeswax from Our Own Apiary

Every Bees & Trees wooden piece is individually handturned, carefully sanded and finished by hand to enhance the natural beauty and character of the timber. Depending on the piece, our products are finished with either a food-safe oil or a protective coating of pure beeswax from our own County Meath apiary. Our bowls are treated with a food-safe finish suitable for everyday use, while our natural beeswax finish nourishes the wood, enhances its unique grain and provides lasting protection. By combining traditional woodturning with beeswax produced by our own bees, we create handcrafted pieces that reflect the unique connection between Bees & Trees and our commitment to quality, sustainability and nature.

Choosing wood over plastic also means choosing a material that is renewable, biodegradable and made to last. Wood also has naturally antibacterial properties, making it a practical choice for every day use. To care for your bowls, simply wash them by hand with warm water and a mild soap, than dry them immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking, dishwashers, microwaves and prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight, as these can cause the wood to dry out or warp. From time to time, you can refresh the finish with a little food-safe oil or beeswax to keep the wood nourished and looking its best.
