I have spent over 30 years working with wood, contributing to luxury projects including five star hotels in Dublin & London.
A number of years ago a storm felled an ash tree on my property in Trim, Co. Meath inspiring me to take up woodturning. Rather than reducing the tree to firewood, I began creating one-of-a-kind bowls and vessels, celebrating the natural beauty, character and history of each fallen Irish tree.
My work reflects a deep connection to craftsmanship, heritage and the stories held within Ireland’s woodlands.
My journey began in the skies as an internationsl air hostess, but a two day course at Ballymaloe Cookery School over ten years ago sparked a lifelong passion for real food, organic living and sustainability. That path led me to beekeeping where I now campion Ireland’s native black bee and its exceptional honey.
Together with my husband, Brian - we now run, Bees & Trees, Honey & Handcrafted Bowls. A celebration of nature through pure Irish honey and handcrafted wooden bowls, made from locally fallen trees.
